Ze Frank

I don't know how many people read this blog (but after Rilla's party, I guess it's more than I thought), and I don't know how many of you watch Ze Frank, but all of you should. This one is from a couple of days ago, and I really liked it, so go watch it, ok?

Rilla's X-mas Party

I went to Rilla's and drank some beer, and I got a chance to visit with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while. That was nice. I also got to try some beers that I'd never had before, and now I think I might have a new favourite beer! Awesome!

Tonight, Sab came over and we watched "Talladega Nights". It was more weird than I was expecting, but I thought it was pretty funny.

Devin's band is playing at Amigo's tomorrow night. Go to the show, dammit. It'll be sweet.

I'll leave you with a couple of pictures from up at Emma.

Later,

I RULED at Hockey tonight, and it was AWESOME!

I've got a cut on my nose, I'm covered in welts, I skinned both my elbows, and it hurts to type this, but like the title says, I ruled at hockey tonight, and it was awesome. For those of you who don't know, the story goes like this: my friends and I rent gym time at the Cosmo Civic Centre every monday night to play floor hockey, and it's tons o' fun. Normally, we have two guys that play goal, but Ed, that tubby bitch, didn't show up tonight, so I took one for the team and strapped on the pads.

I'll spare you the details, because really, how lame is it for me to be bragging about what a floor-hockey stud I am, but I don't usually play goal, and tonight I played better than I can ever remember playing, and I feel pretty damn good right now. We talk about how it's good exercise, and it's a good social activity, but really, we want to play because we want the chance to compete, we want the opportunity to test ourselves against one another, and we want to show what we can do. And tonight, man, I showed 'em. Recognize.

Jump out with your stump out,

T.

A Most Excellent Day

I came to the lake on Tuesday with Jordan, and it feels so good to be up here. There has been quite a bit of snow, and everything's gorgeous, and it was only about -4 today, which is about as good as it gets around here in December. We decided to go ice fishing, and after an unsuccessful hunt for an auger, we just went down to Murray Point and kicked in some holes that someone else had drilled earlier. We didn't catch anything, but we did have whiskey and hot lemonade, and if you ask me to choose between a Jackfish and a whiskey, the hell I'm not gonna choose the damn fish, and don't lie to me, neither would you.

After fishing, we came back to my place and lit a huge fire in the front yard. That old fireplace was kicking out so much heat that we didn't even need our jackets. We cooked bush pies, and then when Mom got home, Jordan threw together some bacon-wrapped scallops and I fried some tuna steaks. Tomorrow, we're going to find, cut down, and drag home a Christmas tree. Hopefully that will fulfill my obligation as far as the "tree" part of Christmas is concerned; I love Christmas, but I don't love decorating the tree, so I'm hoping that if I go get a tree and haul it up to the second floor of our house, I won't have to hang any tinsel.

I don't think it's possible to be much happier than I am right now.

lash out with your gash out,

T.

Movies

I watched some movies in the last two days, and I really enjoyed all of them. First up was the Tenacious D movie, and it was totally wicked. Next up was Clerks 2, which was both much different and much better than I expected. Last was Shaolin Soccer. While not as good as Kung Fu Hustle, it got a lot of laughs out of me.

Yeah, I'm was so damn bored that all I did for a day and a half was watch movies, but now, sick of watching movies, I'm so bored that I'm blogging about it.

I gotta get out of the house.

I need to go to Berlin

I found this on the Slumbering Lungfish interweb place. Maybe it's because I'm such a big nerd, but I think that this is an AWESOME idea for a bar. Next time I'm in Berlin, I'm totally going.

Wait out with your bait out,

Pandora Internet Radio

You know how sometimes when you discover something that you like, you're really happy that you found it? And other times, you are pissed off that you didn't find it sooner? Well, I'm Pissed Off about not knowing about this sooner. How many of you know about this already? And why in the hell didn't anybody ever tell me? Dammit, I want to be in on the ground floor on these sorts of things. Anyway, my afternoon just got booked solid, expanding my musical horizons. Everybody who knew about this and didn't tell me can go to hell.
